It has my privileged to test out the Whirlpool High Efficiency Duet as a part of the Whirlpool Moms campaign with Mom Central Consulting!  This front load duet has been a lot of fun to get to know, much like a new friend.  Just when I thought I knew the appliances well, a new feature would come to my attention that made the set that much more enjoyable!  With all the bells and whistles, the set has a special place in my home and heart.

The Whirlpool HE Duet caught my attention at first glance of an image.  The appearance is sleek and available in beautiful color options.  The cranberry REALLY caught my eye, as did the Lunar Silver.  Ultimately, I opted for white.  It’s a basic color that will work with my home regardless of the color I paint my laundry room walls.  As far as looks go, these machines are the Coach of wash machines.  Fun, fabulous and coveted.

But, even I know that looks aren’t everything…

The machines’ functionality is great too.  I mean, a timer to schedule when your next load starts?!  Works for me!  In fact, tonight the dishwasher was running while I prepared the next load of laundry.  Instead of having the two compete for the hot water, I set the timer on the wash machine to go off an hour later.  Viola! The load started and I didn’t have to remember to start it (because trust me, that wouldn’t have happened until tomorrow morning!).

The machines also help my family save money due the the high efficiency use of water, detergent and energy!  Really, what’s not to love?  But, if you don’t believe me, just listen to my daughter who I caught on video watching the machines go ’round and ’round.  Full disclosure…she was NOT coached on what to say!  You’ll also get a view of, as well as a brief explanation, on how the water is used efficiently.

So, there you go. It’s cool because it’s fun to watch it go around. Take that top-load machine!

Whirlpool knows a little something about creating appliances that work and look good! This past November 11th, Whirlpool celebrated its 100th Anniversary in the home appliance business. Congratulations Whirlpool!

  1. Great review. I also have to add that I love your blogs name. My friend and I have a laundry service from our homes and we would love to have these! It seems that with the time and energy savings you can’t go wrong. Not to mention they are pretty 😉
