Tunics Don’t Have to Be Moo-Moos: Give Them a Chance

Vero Moda Rock Asymmetric Tunic

Have you given tunics a chance? Once upon a time, a tunic was shunned as clothing only heavy people would wear but with today’s fabulous styles, it can easily be incorporated into a mom’s wardrobe!  In fact, a tunic makes for a very functional, comfortable and stylish option!  They are also great for hiding flabby bellies and rears!

The key to making a tunic work for you is to pair it with leggings or skinny jeans.  Keep the bottom half sleek and slender so your top has the spotlight! I adore the look with boots or heels but fun flats work too!  Wear a long necklace, or three, to give your top a long lean line, like the model above does.

Another great option is to belt your tunic.  This gives you sexy curves and brings shape to the otherwise straight top.

Finally, consider wearing a vest over your tunic for a super chic rock-n-roll style!

Tunics have been a part of our fashion culture for a long time and have evolved into beautiful, fashionable pieces- not just for heavy people, not just for resort wear- give them a chance!  Modern moms wear tunics!

Do you already wear tunics? How do you rock yours?

    1. Now that leggings and skinnies are trendy, tunics don’t look bad, really. Plus they look kickass with a nice belt. :)
