Timeless Style from Lands’ End Canvas

Spotlight: Lands’ End Canvas

Reasons to Shop Here: If you are looking for quality in structure, classic styles and a brand with a long history of great customer service, look no further than the new Lands’ End Canvas. This new line from Lands’ End is authentic American sportswear designed for today’s relevant approach to effortless, lived-in style. The collection is rooted in the legendary Lands’ End heritage, but oriented towards a modern, timeless style that offers possibility.

Spotlight Product: Shopping Lands’ End Canvas is a great experience if you are seeking quality structure in every day basics like Khaki pants, button up shirts and classic cuts in dresses. With modern details such as a rolled pant leg, fitted hips and low-rise waist, the canvas cargo pant is the answer to how to updated your khaki. You can still wear your classic favorites but look much more current with your wardrobe pieces coming from Lands’ End Canvas.

Other Great Finds: The spring accessories are fun! Colorful totes and scarves are the perfect way to pull your outfit together this spring!  Also, Lands’ End Canvas offers men’s clothing that are classic in that hunky sailor-type way!

Shipping: Based on the dollar value you spend on your order.  An order for $75-$100 cost me $12.95.  To return an item, a flat fee of $6.95 will be deducted from the amount of your refund. For a company as large as Lands’ End, I think that the shipping cost is outrageous.  I’ve been known to back out of an order due to shipping cost and return shipping fees.  I hope that Lands’ End Canvas learns from companies like Zappos and Endless who offer free shipping and free returns!  On the bright side, if you sign-up for the newsletter, they will alert you of when they are having great deals like free shipping so you can take advantage of the specials!

Bonus Facts: While on Lands’ End Canvas be sure to check out My Canvas. Shoppers can create personalized artwork by integrating online applications with My Canvas. Linking through social networking applications, My Canvas selects images and life’s moments and paints them on a blank canvas to create one-of-a-kind personalized artwork. Once complete, the unique pieces of art can be shared via e-mail, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter or downloaded to post to a blog.

My art was created by integrating some images from my Facebook account and my latest Tweet from my Twitter account (Really sad Brett Favre and the Vikings didn’t pull it off tonight.).  All I had to do was sign-on to the accounts from the My Canvas page.  It was super easy and fun to play with, my kids loved it too!  Here is one of my art pieces:

I like the new Lands End Canvas stuff. I had a free ship code (more on that in a bit) and placed an order for a few “basics” but I’m going to have to return them — too small! I mistakenly expected that Canvas would have LE’s “generous” sizing when the actual Canvas sizing is more in line with J Crew, etc. (basically – do not order a small :-)

As for shipping, I’m with you on the outrageous cost — $12.95 for a $75-$100 order? No thanks. I wouldn’t have placed the order had it not been for the Free Ship code. As for return shipping, I plan to return my stuff to Sears. Not terribly convenient, but I dislike those return-ship-flat-fee charges.

Thanks for sharing that Barbara! I didn’t order any clothing for myself- I got a belt and a pair of khakis for my husband, which fit pretty true to size.
