Wanting timeless beauty like Cindy Crawford, who doesn’t seem to age? (see her Pepsi Super Bowl commercial where she looks just as good in the remake at 50 as she did in the original at age 25!) I think we can agree, we all want our skin to look as good as it did 25 years ago. I, for one, would love less wrinkles, less hyper-pigmentation and certainly, less sagging due to loss of elasticity.
My friend does too. She asked me for product recommendations the other day that would help her with her skin, which she described as needing help with lines and oiliness. This combination is often tricky to treat as anti-aging products add moisture into the skin and while giving the look of soft dewiness, can be misinterpreted as oily to someone who prefers a matte finish. After we talked about what she currently uses, I recommended that she switch from the cleaner she was using and to add a retinol. Just to be sure, I followed up with my friend, Jamila Robinson who is an independent sales director for Mary Kay and asked for her advice.
Jamila suggested adding the Mary Kay TimeWise Replenishing Serum+C. The benefits to using this product are: skin will look more resilient, youthful, defined and toned. It contains high levels of Vitamin C, which protects the skin from damaging free radicals.
For deeper lines and wrinkles, Jamila recommends the Mary Kay Volu-Firm Night Treatment with Retinol. Retinol is a powerhouse product when it comes to fighting the signs of aging. While this product does increase skin’s natural moisture, it may help reduce oil product if the current products are depleting her skin of natural moisture (this causes oil production to go into overdrive and produce too much oil).
If you are feeling your age and cringe when you look in the mirror in full light (why, oh why, can we not live a soft light world?!), give these products a go. You can find them both on Jamila’s Mary Kay website.
