I really need to do something about my hair. Most of the time it’s up in a boring ponytail and I am tired of looking like a frumpy mommy! My hair is not damaged at all – I shower at night (more hot water that way) and let it air dry so it is very healthy. However, it is very straight and fine. I have highlights which have brightened up the look, but the style is just b-o-r-i-n-g! I don’t want to go too short, because I occasionally like to do my hair in a fun style. I was thinking about a chin-length haircut, but I am not sure if it would work with my face shape. I love, love, love Reese Witherspoon’s hair in Sweet Home Alabama, but do you think I would look good with that style? Please HELP!

Erin Says: Wow, this one is easy! What a pretty girl, and the Reese Witherspoon hair cut would look fabulous on her, as well as give her a more ‘mature’ appearance. I suggest she also have some light blond highlights thrown in there to help brighten up her face. I don’t have much else to add as she already knows what she wants and just needs to go for it. This hair style is easy to style as well and is still long enough to put up, curl and wave!
Reese Witherspoon wears her hair in a chin length bob. Note how this style can be worn curled under or flipped up for versatility.
In this instance, Courtney already knows what she wants for her hair she just needs a little encouragement to make the cut. My advice? Have your stylist cut it a little longer and when you discover how much you love it, you can have her take of more the next cut!
