Team Angel- Real Life Super Heroes

Have you ever dreamed of being a super hero? Do you think it to be an impossible feat? Today I challenge you to think again…

One group of Moms that I know of are Super Heroes motivated by love. They are a group called Team Angel and they are working to bring support to a very special family that I happen to be friends with.

Angel is an 8 year-old boy that my family met at church and now our sons attend school together. Our families share birthday parties, girl’s night out and prayers for our friends when they hurt or rejoice. On July 22, 2008, Angel received a liver, bowel, and pancreas transplant. Although the organs are currently “safely” inside his body, the transplant journey was harrowing, and Angel’s recovery has only just barely begun.

Team Angel has established a beautiful website celebrating Angel and recruiting new members for Team Angel. These moms were motivated by love for their friends, the fear they feel for their friends and the desire to do something for their friends. These are truly moms with beautiful hearts and I encourage you to join them!

Please visit Team-Angel.org to find out how you can help. I guarantee you will find the motivation to help in some way (prayer!). You’ll feel more thankful for what you do have rather than regretful of what you don’t have. You’ll feel sad, you’ll feel happy, you’ll cheer, you’ll cry. Angel’s story is beautiful and I hope you’ll share in it with me!

Get motivated to do something special for someone you know, or don’t know, today!  Remember your beautiful glow and smile come from doing something special that you feel great about!

You can make a difference and be a super hero in this life.

About Team Angel:
We are mommies from 14 states and two countries.
We are teachers, photographers, IT providers, social workers, students, and at-home mothers.
We are husbands and boyfriends and significant others, who call us intermittently through the day simply to say, “How’s Angel today?”
We are 46 children, who have met Angel in person and in videos, who send him cards and drawings, and who include him in our prayers.
We are friends and parents and sons and daughters who carry Angel in our hearts and minds every single day, and who want to help in any way we can.
