Do you sometimes long for a more glamorous time? A time when women were elegant, showing their silhouettes and curves in an appropriate, sexy way? Diamonds, lipstick and perfume were a part of the daily wardrobe, not saved for special occasions? A time when men wore tailored suits and ties nearly every day?

I often wish for the more formal society of past decades! If we lived with more glamour in our daily style, I could stop spending my time encouraging moms to get out of their sweat suits and teaching them to show off their curves! Instead, because everyone already looks so fabulous, I could meet you for a mid-day martini at the country club between running errands and driving the kids to their after school activities! Wouldn’t that be fun?

However, our era has declined to sloppiness and the comfort of pajama-casual as a standard. I say, it’s time to change the way our American society dresses and strive to be more glamorous, sexual and sophisticated in our daily lives! The best reason I know for making this change is that when we look fabulous, we feel fabulous. When we feel fabulous, we feel powerful and we might actually become a culture of action-taking people again!

Inspired by the wardrobes in the new STARZ show, Magic City, I put together a few modern day pieces that will take anyone’s style from ho-hum to WOW!  Any mom can become a modern day glamour mom! Imagine going to the grocery store in one of these fabulous dresses and not having to hide from someone you recognize because you didn’t bother to do more than mindlessly get dressed. You’ll look great, feel confident and be proud of how you represent yourself!

Be inspired by the fashion of Magic City:

I challenge you to add more GLAM into your life!  Put some WOW- factor into how you look! Let your wardrobe do a little visual flirting for you!  As the video suggested, “Be a mom. Be a wife. Show your femininity.”

About Magic City:

It’s New Year’s Eve 1959 in Miami Beach. Castro’s rebels seize Havana, while the Kennedys, the mob and the CIA all hold court at the luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel, owned by Ike Evans (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Ike pays a price for making his hotel the IT place by selling his soul to Ben “The Butcher” Diamond. Miramar Playa seems an ideal location for family getaways, with diving clowns and cha-cha lessons, but the night holds secrets of less wholesome activity taking place in the family cabanas.

Magic City takes viewers through Ike’s struggles to fight for his marriage (wife, Vera Evans, is played by Olga Kurylenko), family and his business, the Miramar Playa Hotel. With fabulous fashion, steamy story lines and gorgeous cast members, Magic City is a place to go each Friday night to fill up on glitz and a bit of danger!

Tune-in to the Magic City season finale to get another great dose of glamorous fashion! It is airing Friday, June 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT only on STARZ.  I can’t wait to see what the fashion will be like for the finale!
