Let Spring Release Your “Outdoorphins”

Are you ready for spring? It’s only 17 days away so it’s time to get excited!  Typically I would share with you what clothes to buy based on trends, what shoes to wear and which nail polish is going to be the “it” color for the season but not today.  Today I want to talk about the happiness being outside in the beautiful spring weather brings.

Spring brings all sorts of new opportunities.  It causes us to crave sun ripened goods and get out in the garden to plant rows of yummy veggies.  It creates in us a desire to soak up the sun, venture outdoors and “be one with nature”.  For some of you, that may be going on a day hike, for others it may simply mean taking your lunch outside.

According to research done by Degree Women, 86 percent of women surveyed said just by taking their lunch  outside they improved their productivity and nearly one in four women say the outdoors makes them feel more energized.  So, I encourage you at the first sign of a balmy spring day, find a sunny spot and enjoy it!

In celebration of releasing your “Outdoorphins”, Degree Women is launching a new product line called Degree Natureffects Collection, featuring three new deodorants with matching body mists that work together to infuse a touch of nature in your life.  The scents include: Honeysuckle & Tea Tree Oil, Olive Leaf & Pink Pepper and Orange Flower & Cranberry.  Products sold separately; $3.99.

Degree Women Natureffects is doing a “five senses” blogger campaign, tantalizing our five senses leading up to spring.  I received a delicious orange olive oil cake from One Girl Cookies in Brooklyn. The ingredients in the cake are inspired by two of the new fragrances- Olive Leaf & Pink Pepper and Orange Flower & Cranberry.  I loved the fresh, light taste but I have to admit, it was the smell that tantalized me!  I can’t wait to smell the Natureffects Collection it was inspired by!
