Skin Care Is A Daily Commitment. Are You Committed?

Your skin is the first line of defense from pollution, wind, sun and temperature changes. Working to protect your skin is a daily commitment. Want proof? Look at your hands and neck, two of the most frequently forgotten areas that get missed when the SPF is slathered on. Age spots, wrinkles and dry skin are evidence of neglect. By simply being conscientious of your skin care, your skin will be healthier, longer to protect you.

Protect your skin and care for it with Eucerin Everyday Protection Body Lotion with SPF 15 or the Face Lotion with SPF 30! Both offer protection from incidental sun exposure and free radical damage while intensive moisturizers relieve your dry skin.  I’m really excited about the body lotion!  I’m very good about putting on my face moisturizer with SPF every morning but unless I am planning on substantial time in the sun, SPF generally doesn’t get on my body.  (Keep in mind, sunscreen should always be applied when outside, especially during the hours of 10AM – 4PM when the sun’s rays are the most severe.)  If you are like me, then we have no excuse!  Now we have an easy way to apply it since it’s in a moisturizing lotion that can be applied after a shower- no extra step, no white gooey mess!

Available at most major drugstores or mass retailers.

A few years ago I went on my friends boat for about 5 hours or less. I kept putting on sunblock, which obviously did NO good for me! I’m irish, and I don’t have a tan whatsoever! Lets just say I was a deep red, got sun poisoning, and got sick for a good week. I couldn’t walk for a few days also without bursting out in tears.
I refuse boat rides for over an hour or so now..

One year in college-I lathered up with baby oil and went outside and laid on a foil blanket.-no kidding-the stupidity of youth-nasty sunburn.

I could use this sunhat! Nice!
When I was a kid we used to go to the beach every year for 2 weeks at a time. I remember getting so burned that I was sick and felt so ill and was freezing and felt so horrible. Being blonde I burn very quickly. I just had a precancerous thing removed so I have to be more careful now, but I walk every day outdoors so it is difficult. I still get sick even with just a mild sunburn. Ugh.

My worst sun burn was when I was in Florida and didn’t realize the intesity of the sun because it was my first time there as a teenager. I went with my girlfriend and used baby oil to lay out. I was down there on spring break and ended up with swollen eyes and ended up with pnemonia while down there. I was so sick. UGH.

  18. Lisa says:

I was 8 years old, and we went to Palm Springs the weekend that school got out. I was sunburned from the top of my head down to my feet with my back and face getting the worst of it! I then remember going to the drugstore with my dad and buying Noxema and slathering it all over!

  19. Justine says:

My worst sunburn was one of many when I was a kid, before we knew that the sun could damage your skin or something lol! Well, it’s really not funny but my sister and I would take turns peeling each other’s back skin off so it didn’t itch, I know disgusting! Nothing like not being able to take a shower cause it hurts too much!

when I was 14 – in preparation for a family trip to Florida over spring break I bought a sunlamp at a garage sale and was going “pretan” . this was in 1973 and sunlamps were not a sophisticated and I knew nothing about goggles or sunlamps. So I propped the thing up and pointed it down at my baby oiled body and face as a lay on a bed of aluminum foil. I used cucumber slices to protect my eyes. Oh yeah – I set the timer for 15 minutes. i am a blond. Blisters everywhere, so bad I had to stay with an aunt and skip the vacation. oh yeah – I had cataract surgery at the age of 50 – my surgeon thinks it was the great sunburn that did me in.

When I was a child we used to spend every weekend at the lake. I can’t even count the number of times I had sunburns so bad that I blistered. I was constantly peeling. I spent my teen years laying out in the sun for hours a day. I am now 48 years old and luckily no signs of skin cancer. I am very careful with my skin now and with my childrens skin!

Thanks for the giveaway…my worst sunburn occurred during my first visit to AZ in the mid ’70′s as a 13 year old; we went water skiing on a lake in the middle of the summer and I really fried my back , shoulders, arms & legs….over the next week I had blisters draining everywhere, and I must have used about a gallon of aloe !

  28. Sarah L says:

My sister and I were at the lake on air mattresses for entirely too long. We both had 2nd degree sunburn on the back of our legs. OUCH! I don’t think I’ve had even a bit of a bad sunburn in the last 30 years because I’m now so careful. Thanks for the contest.

I got a bad sunburn when I was a senior in high school on Spring Break. It was pretty reckless because we would sit out in the sun for hours for a week straight. A few days into Soring Break I had a huge blister on my chest and becuase I did not want to stay indoors the rest of the week I continued to get sun over the burned blister. It makes me cringe when I think about it.

  31. Gianna says:

When I was young, there was a day that I spent too much time outside without sufficient sun protection. I got sunburned so badly, I got blisters. After that, I never went outside without sun protection and made certain that, if I need to reapply, I did so

When I was in college, after swimming, I went to the grassy area where students went to dry off and tan. However, I fell asleep, back toward the sun and, when I woke up around 30-45 minutes later, I had the worst sunburn of my life but, thankfully, no blisters. After that day, I’ve never wanted to lay out in the sun, but I have wanted to be sure that I protected myself if I knew that I’d be in the sunshine for more than a brief part of the day

  39. Sanoe Fukui says:

Just recently I went to the beloved beach after being unable to go out in th sun due to a health issue which required taking a medicine that made me sun sensitive. Finally didn’t have to take this medicine I went with my family out to the beach with our beach chairs. I wore a hat, sunscreen etc. But I still got a terrible burn on my back & shoulders which had small blisters but amazing. Didn’t peel sheets of skin and still got a nice brown tan miraculously!
