I swung by Old Navy over the weekend to hit their $2 tank top sale. I couldn’t believe the line to get in the store! Were these people confusing Old Navy for the Apple Store and trying to buy the new iPhone?
Fortunately we were having lunch nearby so I thought I’d just stop when we were done with lunch. When we pulled up, there was no line outside the building so I hopped out of the car while my husband headed off for a Starbuck’s run. Two steps inside the door and I knew I was in trouble. The line to pay was longer than the line I had seen outside earlier in the day! A sales associate soon informed me that the wait to pay was one hour. ONE HOUR people! Who has an hour to stand in line for $2 tank tops (limit 5)? Crazy. I was out of the store and waved my husband down before he was even past the store!
Apparently my store, and others I heard about on Twitter from ThingMomsLike, started their Hottest Summer Sale early! There were HUGE savings up to 50% off! Now that might be worth standing in line for.
