The worlds of Fashion and Technology collided again today. Not in a train wreck kind-of-way but in a peanut butter and chocolate kind-of-way. Pure sweetness to indulge our senses!
Today HP and world-renowned designer Vivienne Tam unveiled the new look in digital clutch chic on the catwalk of Tam’s Spring 2010 fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week at Bryant Park. Last year, during Spring 2009 Fashion Week, Tam revealed the first HP Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch that featured beautiful purple peonies on red. This year’s digital clutch is equally as gorgeous but in a totally different way.
The NEW limited edition HP Vivienne Tam digital clutch features an original butterfly design inspired by the classic Chinese love story “Butterfly Lovers.” Beautiful butterflies are brought to life on a champagne gold backdrop. So gorgeous and classy!
“To me, butterflies symbolize love, freedom, independence and transformation,” said Vivienne Tam. “I love working with HP because they are also inspired by nature. Together we bring life, color and personality to the computer world, creating fashionable technology for modern women.”
Though I’m not in New York this week, I did get to experience the excitement of Vivienne’s runway show LIVE on StyleCaster.com on the FIRST EVER live video feed from the tents! The show is still available for viewing if you want to experience it yourself!
I also tweeted during the show and chatted with @eye4style and @ftlob about the designs and models. Vivienne herself tweeted me back at the end of the show. It was an exciting night in fashion and I think I had one of the best seats to view the show! Modern technology is so fashionable!
Aside from the fabulous new clutch, the collection was feminine, flowy and wearable! In typical Vivienne Tam style, the clothes are fluid and soft, sexy and put you in touch with your feminine side! There was a wide variety in the color palette of this collection: bright greens with yellows, muted purple, soft orange and brilliant orange, beige, as well as turquoise and vibrant blue. Butterflies were on nearly every piece, making this the perfect collection for spring!
OH! And I LOVED the orange fringe bag! Can’t wait to get pictures of that one to show you!
Vivienne says, “When women around the globe carry HP’s digital clutch and wear my clothes, I want them to feel independent and free, like butterflies.”
The models wore dark eyeliner but it was paired with a fresh face. Hair was worn long with waves and a center part. Very undone. Very Boho. Very feminine.
Personally, I’m thrilled with the results of the show, collection and new digital clutch design! I wonder if my husband is up for me owning two of these limited edition Vivienne Tam digital clutches? I should start a collection…
