You can spend anywhere from $20-$36 for either brand. Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish is the 2007 Winner of the Best of Sephora! MAC Cosmetics Prep and Prime Protect includes a SPF 50. Wow, pretty impressive.
Here is how it works:
1) Apply after moisturizer.
2) Apply before foundation.
3) That’s it!!
Benefits:
1) Includes vitamins and antioxidants for smooth and healthy skin.
2) Helps slow down the destruction of collagen.
3) Helps fill in lines and pores.
4) Aids in dryness.

Good stuff! While I have never tried either of these, I do enjoy my Bare Escentuals Prime Time under my BE Mineral Foundation - same type of idea? It creates a smooth palette for your foundation, very smoothing, glides on wonderfully:

Ailene- the bottle lasts as long as your foundation would last. It’s slightly smaller (depending on what foundation you wear)but you just apply one layer like you would a moisturizer.
Amanda- yes same concept as Bare Escentuals. Many brands have a primer out now. My personal favorite is the Smashbox. It feels like velvet on your skin!
