I had so much fun covering Fashion’s Night Out LA on September 8! Amazing stores, fun fashion shows and best of all, Fabulous bloggers to enjoy the night with! Follow along with my photo flashback!
My FNOLA started with a visit to Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon. Patrick Jagaille added lots of volume with the fabulous blowout he gave me! He is so sweet and very talented! I highly recommend him if you are in LA! Check out the Serge Normant Facebook page for more photos of our event!
With Marie Denee outside the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon. Interesting fact, this salon space used to be Neil Diamond’s home!
After a few more great pictures (too many to share!), we headed to Beverly Center to meet up with the rest of the group.
Cheers to fashion and fun! Dulce and Marie in the green room as we wait for the show to begin.
Here is an extraordinary moment: on the Beverly Center red carpet with Lisa Love, the west coast editor of Vogue! Surreal!
Then back to the green room to personally chat with Lisa! A lovely woman with a lot on her schedule that night. So glad to have a moment with her!
Let the party begin! Nicole Richie, Lisa Love and Randy Jackson kicked off the night, followed by the runway show. This is were I officially fell in love with the label Politix!
After the runway, I hit up a few of the stores just to see what was going on. Our time was tight but I did get to stop in at bebe, where the service was amazing and DJ rocked!
As well as Sunglass Hut. Rachel Bilson was hosting and it was a MAD HOUSE. Full of photographers. This was as close as I got. I don’t think ANYONE was able to shop that store!
Soon after we were whisked away to our next stop via limo compliments of Platinum Express Limos! Our driver, Cash (a pro-surfer, no less! So LA!) was awesome. He recharged my phone for me at each relocation!
We arrived at Westfield Century City for a high-energy fashion show. Really, the highlight of the night. Magic Johnson and LL Cool J were there and both had daughters in the show! It was fun to see their daddy-pride shine so bright!
Oh, and the fashion…pretty amazing too! (SO many great shoes!!)
On to the next location…Robertson Blvd! Hello Tory Burch!
And…Alice + Olivia! It was a carnival feel, so much fun!
We made one other stop on Robertson Blvd. That was for food. So hungry!
Our final stop for the night was at Fred Segal on Melrose. Due to our food stop, we missed Kimora Lee Simmons, the one person I REALLY wanted to meet! However, next year for FNOLA 2012, THIS is the place to be! A very happening spot on the FNOLA tour! We got to shoot pics with Smashbox, check out NSF Clothing’s exclusive Ron Herman denim wash and drool over the accessories! A must-stop next time I’m in LA with some cash to shop!
How fun is it that they use paint rollers to display their bracelets? I love that!
Finally…FINALLY…to end the night, we headed back to Beverly Center to join the Genlux after-party!
If you missed FNO this year, plan on it next year! If you are in the LA area, I can promise it will be bigger and better! What’s not to love about spending a fun evening shopping and playing with some of your favorite friends? Keep your eye on FNOLA.com for details for next year’s big event!
