Perfectly Imperfect Hair- But Not With This Product!
We’ve all been there ladies. You go get a new hair style and then you load up hair products recommended by your stylist to maintain that look. Some will work for you some will not. Since the salon brands are a lot more expensive than drugstore brands, I thought I’d try an alternative to what my stylist recommended.
I love the messy, scrunched look on most days because it’s easy and let’s me get out of the house fast. So, I tried a new shampoo and conditioner, that I picked up at the grocery store, that is specifically for the messy look.
The product: Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly.
I gave it numerous tries but to be honest, I was disappointed. It left my hair unmanageable as if I had forgotten to condition it. However, my hair is dry from all the chemicals from hair color, so it really needs a better conditioner than Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly.
Would I buy it again? No. But for the price of about $4.00 a bottle, it would probably be just fine if your hair isn’t chemically treated. My daughters really liked the fragrance of wild violet and pomegranate.

Editor’s Note: Herbal Essences has an entire collection of “Tousle Me Softly” that really smells divine. I’ve used the hairspray and it holds nicely without being stiff. You may have more success with the styling products than the conditioner. I’m with Tracy, a great conditioner makes your hairstyle! If you can’t comb through it and have soft manageable hair, what’s the point? Just throw a hat on and be done with it!
