I have seen Nick Chavez products in the beauty supply that I frequent but never have used the products so I was excited to be given samples of these products to try. I have long color-treated hair that is layered and straight. I am always on the hunt for products that add volume but won’t make my hair a greasy or sticky mess that requires daily shampooing.
I tried three products in the Nick Chavez Volumizing Hair Care Collection. I tried the PLUMP’N THICK Leave-in Thickening Creme Conditioner which I loved. I applied a pea size to my hair after shampooing and then styled as usual. I thought it gave a great amount of thickening and volumizing that I am so in need of. It didn’t weigh my hair down and didn’t get it greasy….great product!
The Flocker is another product that I tried. It is designed to give lift and texture and can be used on wet or dry hair…I loved this one too. I used it on my wet hair before styling and it did a good job of adding volume and gave me that piecy texturized look that I usually only get after a salon visit. When I used it on my dry hair I thought it worked well also.
And I am saving the best for last….Nick Chavez’s Volumizing Extra Hold Hair Spray. This product gave me a flexible hold that seemed to last all day. I loved the smell of it and I thought it did add volume and a fresh look to my hair in times when I needed to rush out the door and didn’t want to look like mama had no time to do her hair.
I was really pleased with all three products in the Nick Chavez Volumizing Hair Care Collection. The PLUMP’N THICK Leave-in Thickening Creme Conditioner, Flocker and the Volumizing Extra Hold Hair spray all worked really well with my hair and did exactly what they claimed. I personally will continue to use and buy the Volumizing Extra Hold Hair Spray because it is now one of my new fave’s.
