I’m a magazine addict. How about you? Do you love the glossies? While the internet is great, blogs are fabulous and real-time information about who is wearing what is priceless, nothing, I mean nothing, compares to a little “me time” with one of my favorite magazines! Flipping through the pages of the latest beauty and fashion magazines is bliss.
Recently I was introduced to a new concept called, MAGHOUND. The site is a new online membership service that allows you to choose, change, and manage all the magazines delivered to your home. You can choose from hundreds of magazines, customize your magazine order to fit the needs of your family and manage it all online on one site! You also Pay-As-You-Go by paying one low monthly price for all of your magazines — you can even select substitutes for when any of your selections are not scheduled to deliver an issue in a given month.
For example, since I already subscribe to Lucky, Allure and InStyle, I chose my very favorite beauty and fashion magazine, People Style Watch. Then, being a good mommy, I chose magazines for each of my kids since they love the glossies as much as I do: Air & Space for my son and Humpty Dumpty’s for my daughter. Since their magazines are only offered every other month, I substituted Glamour for their off months. Every month I will receive 3 magazines for the $4.95 membership I pay. (That’s the price of a single Starbucks drink!)
If I decide that the magazines I selected are not a good fit for my kids, I can make the changes to my account on MAGHOUND, order a substitute magazine and the change is effective immediately. No yearly subscription to an unwanted magazine. I wish I could have done this with another science magazine my MIL signed my son up for. It was completely inappropriate for him and I always threw them in the recycle bin as soon as we received them. It was a total waste of money.
You’ll find something for every interest. You can even edit the recipients name so your family members receive the magazine in their name. I know for my kids, it is a big deal to receive mail with their name on it!
I almost cringe to say it but the holidays will be here sooner than we want to admit. A MAGHOUND membership would make a fantastic gift for any one you know!

I am checking this out right NOW. I don’t subscribe to any magazines b/c I kinda hate the process…yet I have every single fashion/beauty mag because I can’t pass the newsstand without buying.
