Mom of 5, Sarah Palin Announced as John McCain’s Running Mate

Congratulations to Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska. She has been chosen as John McCain’s running mate for the GOP Presidential campaign.

Governor Palin is the mom of 5 ( Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track and Trig, who was born in April with Down syndrome) and already being called the “Hockey Mom“. I say Go Hockey Mom! Who better to handle a government than a mom of 5 (talk about organizational skills!)?

      All I have to say is McCain made a brilliant and politically savvy move to nominate a women on his ticket. In her acceptance speech today she even mentioned Hillary. Very interesting iSN’t it?

      But good For her! MOTHER OF FIVE, WOW!

      Yes, to woman in power!! A mom of 5, and still can find time to look amazing, healthy, put together, relaxed and ready to take on any task or challenge..

      Congratulations, to her and the example that she has set not only for herself, but for all..

      And her children..who will remember this time and place in their lives.

      This world is for all who dream and believe in that dream!!!

      I am not one to chat politics typically but I couldn’t keep my eyes off Fox News tonight. I am so excited to have a strong conservative female (don’t forget mom!) on the ticket! It’s going to be an exciting 2 months…!

      I have a slightly different outlook.

      We should all put our politics and gender aside and ask if we feel comfortable having a relative unknown and un-vetted candidate go within 75 days to being the President of the USA (one heartbeat away on the day after the election).

      Part of the election process is ability for the opposition party and the media to fully investigate potential Presidential candidates.

      They usually have anywhere from 16 months to multiple years to develop a track record. The purpose is to put candidates under stress and test how they respond, and to make sure they aren’t hiding positions that aren’t in our interest.

      McCain doesn’t allow her to sperak to the media or the public (if they hold a camera or microphone) so we don’t know her positions.

      Anyone who considers this as a slick maneuver by a political Party doesn’t have the interests of the nation at heart.
