The Modern Way to Wear Pearl Earrings

It’s time to start shopping for Valentine’s Day!  Yep, it really is.

This year, make it clear to your guy what it is you really want.  A kitchen appliance?  Not so much!  Gorgeous authentic pearls?  Definitely!

Now, I wouldn’t typically choose pearls as my go-to earring style but I have to admit, owning a pair of pearl studs is a pretty fabulous thing. I wore (faux) pearls at my wedding 14 years ago and I don’t think I’ve put them on since. Now that I have a fabulous pair of studs, I am looking for modern, edgy ways of wearing them.  I’m discovering, and want to share with you, there are fun and fabulous ways to wear pearl studs!

Mix up your look: Go with classic, gorgeous studs paired with a stunning statement necklace and you have yourself a modern style sure to satify your inner Lady Di and Rihanna!  Who knew that wearing modern could be so classic?

  1. Is it just me or does the $15,000 necklace not seem worth nearly that amount?

  2. Tammy says:

Try zooming in on the picture…the stones are gorgeous :)

I think it depends. If it is one of those stand out peices that you think you will love forever than maybe… think about how much money one spends on disposable jewellery….looking back i think i must have spent a couple of thousand dollars on cheap costume jewellery… wish I had purchased a nicer more classic piece instead.

  4. I wore pearls at my first wedding (the necklace was one that I received as a bridesmaid gift). I wore them for a few years as they were all I had that were “nice”. Then after getting divorced, I wanted nothing to do with pearls and went for diamonds (ok the fake ones LOL). Recently however, I’ve been taken by the pearl statement necklaces, and the colored pearls. I’m starting to like them again :)

  5. Tammy says:

Have you seen the green pearls? Gorgeous! And I like black pearls too!

  6. I am a big fan of pearl jewelry. They are classy and so easy to incorporate with one’s outfit :)
