The weather is warming up, the days are getting longer, and summer is on the horizon. I’ve started putting my “winter” shoes away and bringing out my open-toed shoes and sandals. As a mom, I strive to be fashionable but comfortable since I’m constantly chasing after a 2 year old boy.
Havaianas, a Brazilian-based company notable for their ultra hip and oh-so-comfy sandals, hosted a mid-day getaway in Beverly Hills this week. The company showcased their latest styles and even set up a table to design your own Havaianas with embellishments. At the top of the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills with the pool in the background, it was the perfect, casual setting to experience a lifestyle brand that offers style and comfort. I love the flexibility to wear these to the beach or on an evening out!
Also showcasing the latest designs was Sir Alistair Rai. Designer Kiran Rai weaves “timeless messages of peace and passive resistance” into her line of clothing, scarves, and accessories. She draws inspiration from her Indian heritage and her love for rock-n-roll to create beautifully ornate and artistic designs. What I enjoy about her designs is that they can be worn for both casual and formal events.
As a mom, it was nice to be able to experience some of the latest trends in the fashion world in a posh, relaxing atmosphere.
