Do you work from home or do you go to an office? From Home and while I’m out and about – thank God for my Treo!
Do you get yourself ready everyday or do you find yourself hanging out in jammies for a large portion of the day? I usually get ready in gym clothes so at some point in the day I can go exercise (one less step to have to motivate to do if I’m already dressed for it!)
What is your favorite beauty tip? I actually have two -1. Neutrogena Tinted Oil Free Moisturizer with SPF 15 every morning which adds some nice color to your face. 2. Bare Essentuals id Minerals SPF15 (powder) foundation – it’s so light (feels like your wearing nothing) and really does provide great coverage. It evens everything out, helps hide the tired mom face, and takes two seconds to put on.
What did your mother teach you about beauty and fashion? My mom never wore any makeup – but always wore beautiful pressed shirts that made her look so put together. A great traditional button down can make you look like a million bucks!
What is your favorite outfit in your closet and why? My Citizens of Humanity jeans – God bless the stretch in them (after 3 babies – I need it!) with a fitted black cashmere turtleneck sweater (great for hiding that post-partum belly).
What motivates you to look your best? When I feel like I look fabulous, I feel confident and empowered – ready to take on the world and tackle everything with 110%!
Any time saving beauty tips to share? After showering I try to let me hair dry naturally and wait at least 15minutes before I blow dry it. I get dressed, do my makeup and get ready to walk out the door. The last thing I do is blow dry and then it just takes a few minutes with a roller brush to finish my hair. This minimizes damage to my locks and saves precious time (5 minutes of blow drying versus 20).
Name one product you can’t live without: Bobbi Brown Bronzer – especially if you live in climate where a winter gray face finds you – it’s amazing how a little color can make you look ten times better!
Heels or flats? Flats – Almost always flats!
Lip gloss or Lip Stick? Gloss – I am a huge fan of C.O. Bigelow’s Mentha Lip Tint –it feels cool and fabulous, freshens your breath and comes in great tints for a hint of color. I wear it all day and at night when I’m dressing up!
Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share: Keep it simple and figure out how to play up your assets (invest $$$ in products and fashion that do this) not cover up your flaws…..
