Meet Miriam Cash of Equilibrium Design and Consulting

Your Name: Miriam Cash

How many children do you have? 3 boys

Your Business Name: Equilibrium Design and Consulting

Brief Description of Your Business: Shop, Plan, Decorate and Declutter. A total lifestyle detailing experience! Equilibrium Design can help you organize and fill a closet, plan a party, design a room, declutter a kitchen or shop for your weekly menus.

When do you make time to run a business with your busy MOM schedule? While owning my own business I can usually control how busy I am. Generally I do well working during the day while the boys are in school. I do paperwork at 6 am.

What is your favorite beauty tip? I try to keep it current but not too trendy. I like classic with a twist. If your skin glows it shows youth and confidence.

What did your mother teach you about beauty and fashion?
To keep it natural.

What beauty/fashion tips will you be sure to share with your daughter, niece or neighbor girl as she grows?
Find your greatest feature and showcase it. Any flaws will take a backseat. My feature is my hair!

What is your favorite outfit in your closet and why? A great pair of jeans or a simple A-line sundress. Both are incredibly versatile!

What’s your favorite online site to shop for beauty or fashion? Sephora keeps me up to date on beauty. I love the fashion ideas at FabSugar and all the other hip, fun info. it links to!

What motivates you to look your best? My boys…and my age! I am determined to defy 50!

As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips? A tried and true skincare regime, easy haircut and lots of accessories. Any outfit can work if you upscale or downscale the shoes, bag and jewels.

Name one product you can’t live without:
I have two! Benefit LemonAid for eyes. It’s great for coverage of lines, veins and darkness. No eyecolor is needed and it totally brightens. Also a must have, Trish McEvoy Luxe Moisture Balm for Lips with SPF 15.

Heels or flats? Describe your favorite pair. Heels! Love my Stuart Weitzman Fisherman sandals-I have then in black and brown. With opaques or a hip pedicure, like Midnight in Moscow or Stars In My Eyes, both by OPI, awesome all year round.

Lip Gloss or Lip Stick? Which brand/color?
Lip gloss. Love Sparky by Chanel. I can usually find an inexpensive, fun lip gloss at CVS as well! Something sheer but with a hint of shimmer!

Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share: Yes. Definitely take good care of your skin, especially your face and decolleté . Use SPF everyday. And don’t worry about the wrinkles, they only show that you’ve lived! Earn them, wear them with pride but definitely help to minimize them by starting early with skincare!

Editor’s Note: Miriam, thank you for sharing your insider tips! I’m proud of you for being “determined to defy 50″! I am so glad you embrace your hair- what gorgeous curls! Amazing!
