Tell us about your Business:
Market America is an Internet Marketing and Product Brokerage company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing. We offer top of the line market driven products that are backed by a powerful business opportunity. We offer over 35 million products on the website, including our Motives by Loren Ridinger cosmetics, which consist of revolutionary cutting-edge products with state of the art simplicity and a high-resolution finish.
What was your motivation for starting Motives cosmetics?
I created Motives by Loren Ridinger to empower people everywhere to look and feel beautiful while providing an opportunity to become a Motives Color Consultant and create the lifestyle they have always imagined.
What is your favorite beauty tip?
Use Motives Invisi-Line under the eyes before applying makeup, it keeps eyes wrinkle free and smooth all day long. And smile all the time because you will always look your best.
You travel a lot. Can you give us some packing advice? What items are absolutely essential in your carry-on?
There is a new bag called zuca that I found out about because they are a Market America partner store. The bag is a stool and a bag with individual Velcro drawers inside. It fits in the overhead compartment on an airplane and the drawers make it really easy to get to things quickly. The stool aspect is great for those times when you are in a super busy terminal and you need a place to sit.
Also, I always bring a good magazine to read and Motives Vitamin E Lip Treatment because my lips get super dry when I travel; the Vitamin E keeps them moist and feeling great.
And most importantly I never travel without my gold medallion. It’s incredibly inexpensive but has a picture of Amber and me on one side and a picture of JR on the other. It was given to me when Amber was born and is not worth a lot monetarily, but it’s worth the world to me and I have never flown without it, nor will I.
What is your favorite outfit in your closet and why?
I have this great Alice and Olivia fringe black dress that I wear with Givenchy black stiletto cutout boots. I absolutely adore it; I’m all about the fringe right now as it’s really in. And there is nothing like a great pair of stilettos to make you look taller, thinner, hotter, and sexy.
What motivates you to look your best?
When I look my best I feel my best and that encourages other people to ask me what I’m doing; which allows me to share my great products with them. My daughter motivates me to look my best also because she lets me know when I’m not. She’ll tell me right away to go put something cute on if I don’t pass her test!
As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips?
First great skin care; take care of your skin and you always will look great and save time by needing less makeup. Also use a great mascara like Motives Lustrafy which makes eyelashes look long and great. Also, when you don’t have time to do your hair, pull it back in a sleek ponytail, it will look fabulous and no one will know you never did your hair! Just be sure to use a great clip to finish it off.
In meeting women around the world, what would you say is the number one beauty question or concern you receive? How do you suggest women address that concern?
For sure, the most common question I get is how do you keep your skin looking so young, and how can I prevent mine from aging?
First, it’s never too late to start great skin care. Start today and you will see results shortly. Spend 10-15 minutes at night taking care of your skin, and I promise it will really pay off. There are a lot of products on the market for skin care that make a lot of different claims. Do your research and use products on the skin that actually work. There are a lot of good products on the market and it all starts with good skin care and treatment products that really work. I usually start someone who is just starting to take skin care seriously on our Cellular Laboratories De-Aging Crèmes and Serums. We have gotten such a great response from these products and I use them every day.
What has been your worst fashion faux pas?
I try not to have them so when I think I might be getting ready to make a fashion faux pas, I go back to the basics and put on jeans and a great jacket. Occasionally, I’ll be in front of a full length mirror and think “Oh my God, what am I thinking?” So I have almost had a couple but thankfully I fixed the situation before anyone else knew. Remember that it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share:
You always look your best when you feel your best and whether you realize it or not people are always watching and looking at you. Give them lots of good stuff to talk about!
