Last Friday my family enjoyed an energizing, renewing concert with Brandon Heath and Third Day. It was very different from the rock concerts my husband and I have been attending for years. There was no alcohol, no people puking, no women throwing bras on stage or walking in the men’s restroom because the women’s line is too long. It was refreshing, to say the least. In the past year and a half, we’ve taken to attending Christian rock concerts and with kids in tow, it’s just way more appropriate and enjoyable!

My husband treated us to a special meet and greet with Third Day after the concert. The band is so nice and down to earth! No egos, no 5 second handshake. Each member stopped to talk with my family and really spent some quality time signing autographs and interacting with the kids. Mac Powell, lead singer for Third Day, was particularly great with my kids (he has 4 of his own). I appreciate their efforts in making my kids feel important. While we enjoy their music, it’s their personal kindness that made my family lifetime fans. My kids will always remember meeting Third Day!
I also was served the best latte I think I’ve ever had at the meet & greet! Third Day supports a special program called Drink Coffee. Do Good. I can’t wait to wear one of the cool tees from the organization, like the one drummer David Carr is sporting in the photo!
Become a fan of Third Day on Facebook or check out their offical website for more information on the band.
* I am wearing my super cool belt from Strapped Belts in the photo.

What a great opportunity. I love Third Day’s music. It’s nice to know that they’re as kind “backstage” as they are “onstage.”
P.S. I love that green hat that one of the band members is wearing.
It is so cool that you have an experience like that you can share with your kids.
They’re a great band. You guys look like you had a really good time (your kids? Totally adorable!)
Thanks! I think they are pretty cute too
