How many children do you have? I have one son, who just turned 4. I have been happily married for 7 years.
Your Business Name: Tags-n-Stones
Brief Description of Your Business: Tags-n-Stones is my collection of personalized, hand-stamped sterling silver and gold-filled tag necklaces and bracelets with precious stones. I also run a style website called Real Style Real People and I write a shopping column for the Sun News in Cleveland.
When do you make time to run a business with your busy MOM schedule?
Well, you do have to “make time”. I carve out what my work hours are going to be daily and then work really hard, so I can have quality time with my son later. I’ve learned that I am a person who wants and needs to work outside of the home (which is a whole other full-time job) and that it’s makes me happy. So I make sure to make time for that.
What is your favorite beauty tip?
I like to look natural but still use something that offers good coverage in a foundation. So I use Bare Minerals. I love it. It offers great coverage but I don’t ”feel” it on. It’s made from crushed minerals, so it’s all natural and has a built in SPF too.
What did your mother teach you about beauty and fashion?
I remember my mother getting dressed to the nines on Saturday nights when she and my father would go out dancing. I loved watching her get ready, and later on, I helped her get ready (clothes and hair). So I appreciate the art of getting dolled up to go somewhere special.
What beauty/fashion tips will you be sure to share with your daughter, niece or neighbor girl as she grows?
Well, I don’t really have any girls around me-mostly boys. So I’ll just teach my son to appreciate and respect the effort woman put into looking and feeling good.
What is your favorite outfit in your closet and why?
That’s a tough one. I would have to say, my best fitting pair of Gap jeans that I know flatter my shape. I could put those on with a tee or a dressy blouse and jacket and feel good in them.
What’s your favorite online site to shop for beauty or fashion?
There are few. I like Bluefly and Topshop. But also Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy.
What motivates you to look your best?
Well, looking good on the outside can help make me feel better on the inside, even if I’m having a crummy day.
As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips?
Right now, I love and use the 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash and bubble bath from the Philosophy Brand. They smell so yummy and help you multi-task.
Name one product you can’t live without:
Defi hair shine, that I buy from Trade Secret. I have very fine hair and it helps my flyaways and puts shine in my hair.
Heels or flats? Describe your favorite pair.
Flats most of the time, but heels to go out.
Lip gloss or Lip Stick? Which brand/color?
Gloss for daytime. I like a balm or gloss that adds a hint of color, like Burt’s Bees or Neutrogena. But I use the MAC lipstick line all other times.

Im a mum of 1 little boy too and try and find ways to show other mums to kick start there clothing business. I help other mums and find it hard some times to tear my self away as there so many mum wants out there ! Want to kick start it click me !
