I drink coffee. I need to keep my teeth white. Two tasks that don’t mix for the results desired. I’m not giving up coffee so I have to find a good way to whiten my teeth.

Let’s face it, having it professionally done is expensive and takes a chunk of time for the treatment. I’ve tried the whitening strips sold at mass retailers. Honestly, I remember to put them on for a few days but for 7 days? Forget it. I’ve even purchased the more concentrated strips from my dentist’s office in hopes they’d have the same whitening effect in a shorter period of time but I can’t seem to stay with the routine.

It’s a two step process with this product but no yucky, slimy strips.

Step One: Rinse with the provided mouth rinse. It improves the effectiveness of step two.

Step Two: Apply whitening gel to the teeth you want whiter. The clear gel is applied with a small brush, much like a nail polish brush. I L-O-V-E that the product can whiten more than the standard 6 teeth the strips whiten! (Who smiles with only 6 teeth showing?)

During step 2, you must let the gel dry so you fan your teeth for about 30 seconds just to be sure it stays where it is suppose to. After 10 minutes with the gel on, you rinse with the mouth rinse again.

Do this process twice a day for 3 days.

My results? I saw my teeth become 2 shades whiter when compared to the convenient shade guide provided to track my results. Not the 6 shades whiter that was promised but honestly, I’m happy. The reports indicate that the average results are 5 shades lighter. (I admit, I skipped a morning so the 6 applications weren’t applied exactly as directed…)
