Lip Liner: Do you wear it?

    By Tammy | August 26, 2008

I’m not much of a lip liner wearing mama. In fact, the lip liner I own I use to fill in my lips for a solid color then cover it with a gloss. It could be in part that I am looking for ways to make my makeup routine less fussy (being lazy?) and it could also be that I prefer lip gloss to lipstick so I don’t need a liner as often. I also cringe when I see women walking around with a liner darker than their lipstick (perhaps the lipstick faded? I hate to think they did that on purpose!).

I am looking for a good clear lip liner though. One that holds in the color without an obvious line of color. If you know of a good brand, let me know! The purpose of lining the lips is to create subtle definition and perfect the shape of the lips. To learn how, watch this video.

How about you? Do you wear lip liner? Take this poll and let me know! Then go to Total Beauty and read their recommendations for the best liners in the industry.

I’m with you-I use lip liner all over, then color with gloss. It’s hard to do on the go though and half the time when I reapply I skip the liner and just use gloss. Keep us posted on your solution!

I don’t use lip liner at all. I don’t have a need for it since I only wear lipgloss. I also hate seeing people with noticeable lipliner. It looks tacky. I say if you do wear it, blend it with lipgloss.

all of you women should stop using the term “busy mom” as an excuse. geez! i am a “busy mom” and i’m 45 with two adult sons. i still have time to clean, cook and make myself look super hot to my dear hubby. there’s no excuse when it comes to looking good to please your men. that is why i look better than any 20 year old girl. its not my fault 20 year old girls get mad when their mid-twenties boyfriends are checking ME out.
