Learn to Curl Your Hair with A Flat Iron

    By Tammy | August 18, 2008

My step-daughter just turned 22 and to celebrate two of her best friends blindfolded and “kidnapped” her, bringing her to a secret location to celebrate. While in the hotel room, Breanna curled Lesley’s hair with a flat iron (yes, a flat iron!), had her apply her makeup and surprised her with a fun little leopard print dress for the cocktail cruise they were about to embark on. What a fun way to celebrate your big day! I reminded Lesley that she had really wonderful friends (like a good mom should do) and then proceeded to drool over her gorgeous hair!

I’ve actually gotten pretty handy with my flat iron. It helps to buy a quality iron that supplies plenty of heat! However, I have not mastered curling with it (other than the occasional unwanted bend). My intention was to have Breanna and Lesley come over for a video demonstration but before I had a chance to do so, I discovered on Makeup Bag that our beauty friend (and hot mama) from Beauty Girl Musings already shot a fantastic How-To Curl Your Hair with a Flat Iron video! So thanks to Monique, you and I both have a great tutorial to learn from! Enjoy and be sure to let Monique know how much you loved her tips!

Great video! Thank you so much for the instructions. I can’t wait to try this at home! I’ve been reading how stick-straight hair isn’t the latest and greatest trend anymore and I hate to use curling irons so this will be great to try out!
