Are You a Label Whore? Check Out iOffer for Deals!

If you love to live in name brand clothes, flaunt the latest hot handbag brand and tower over others in your Christian Louboutin heels then you are a label whore (I mean that in the nicest way!). You may find it harder to afford name brands in this economy so I have a solution for you. However, there is a catch…

iOffer.com is jam-packed full of brand accessories, fashion and shoes. But, they are replicas. For the most part anyway. Remember when I showed you the Christian Louboutin platform pumps for only $49 with shipping for $69? At a cost of $118, you are still getting an awesome deal but at that price, you have to know they are replicas.

iOffer doesn’t try to hide the fact that many of the dealers are from overseas and offer “Canal Street Couture”. If you love the label but not the price of brand name fashion, try iOffer. Don’t let the fact that the English is poor or that the order is coming from China or elsewhere.

I ordered several pieces with a gift card I had received. I had a good experience from the 4 different vendors I used. I ordered a “Christian Dior” coat, which turns out to be gorgeous, though slightly big.  I tried to negotiate the price down but the seller was very strict with his price.  I paid $4 less than his asking price!  I received the item in just over a week, which was really fast!  I did have to sign for it and since I missed the mail man, had to go to the post office in the midst of holiday shipping madness.  Despite that slight inconvenience, I was happy with the purchase, delivery and customer service of the seller.

I also ordered a wooden Barbie house for my daughter. This gift was to be from Santa. The seller was from the US so I felt confident ordering such a big item. The original item I ordered turned out to be out-of-stock. The seller recommended another, smaller house. I opted to purchase the next size up from a different manufacturer. I negotiated the cost down by $10. The box came within 10 days, with the seller warning me a picture would be on the box. I appreciated her heads-up so I could watch for and hide the package quickly.

Unfortunately, when my husband went to put the house together, we discovered what poor quality it was. We had to make a last minute trip to Toys R Us to get a plastic house.

I contacted the seller on iOffer, telling her how disappointed we were and that she should discontinue selling the item. Her store page clearing indicates she offers no refunds for any reason, if the item is damaged upon arrival she will work to exchange it for you. I have not heard back from the seller. My husband is going to buy some supplies from Home Depot and rebuild the side walls of the house to see if we can salvage the poorly designed house. We’ve already sunk $250 into the house, I don’t really want to invest too much more but really, I can’t just toss it either can I?

I ordered some “Juicy Couture” handbags and a pair of earrings. My step-daughter and I each picked out a purse. With so many pretty styles, it was hard to pick! I have not received these items yet but they are en-route, I have a tracking number and expect them this week. The seller gave me a small discount on her original prices since I was ordering several items.

The Juicy Couture replica handbags sell for $18 with shipping around $30, depending where in the world you ship to.

Finally, I got a Guess watch for $35. I needed to finish off the gift card.  I had $35 left and the seller accepted my offer of $2 under his cost.

My experiences were good overall on iOffer.com. The only disappointment was the wood house. If it had been my own money, not a gift card, I would be fighting harder to get a refund from the seller, even though she states she doesn’t give them. Let it be a lesson that just because a seller is from the States, doesn’t mean you’ll get great customer service. Those overseas seem to be much more on top of their game, respond quickly and do offer refunds/exchanges to various degrees.

In the end, I recommend you try iOffer but here are a few tips to help you have a good experience:

  • read each seller’s policies carefully
  • use only sellers that have a selling history
  • ask lots of questions and don’t expect the “real thing”, because it likely isn’t.
  • Don’t buy shoes via iOffer as shoes are hard to get the proper fit, though there were some pretty tempting styles of boots.
  • Stick with accessories, jackets and other non-fitted items.
  • Don’t be shocked by shipping prices.
  • Don’t get attached to any item before making an offer.  Negotiate the price and if the seller doesn’t budge, walk away from the transaction.
  • Searching on iOffer isn’t the easiest thing as there is a lot of key word spamming done by sellers.  It helps to know exactly what you are looking for, otherwise you could spend hours searching the site.

If you do use iOffer.com, let me know how your experience is and what you buy!
