Ever since I first started wearing make-up in my teen years the staple of my make-up regimen has always included one particular product of L’Oreal mascara. And if ever asked “If you were stranded on a desert island and allowed to bring only one make-up item what would it be?” I would choose my mascara hands down. No matter how busy my day gets and how quick my morning make-up routine must be I always make sure I leave the house with my mascara on.
As I said before I have used the same type of L’Oreal mascara since I was young and although this mascara is a different product in their line I trust the name and thought it would be worth trying the new L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara. I honestly can tell you I didn’t regret it and I will tell you why.
The great thing about this product is that it has 2 Steps that not only make your lashes long and luscious but a nourishing basecoat that protects and strengthens them. Since I feel like I put my lashes through such wear and tear I thought I owed it to them to find something that would nourish them.
The steps are simple and quick. First, I apply a coat of the clear Nourishing Basecoat which extends your lashes. Then I follow it up with a coat of the Ultra Lengthening Tube Topcoat. I never knew something so quick could look so great.
L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara claims to extend your lashes 80% while also being long wearing, smudge proof, flake proof and clump free. I thought it definitely delivered on this claim.
My favorite thing about the product was that it really was smudge proof. Which has always been a frustration of mine but it never dawned on me that not all mascaras don’t smudge. And I will let you in on a little secret that made me realize this was that after doing the ultimate skin care no no and not washing my face before bed I woke up with great looking and smudge free lashes. The take off of product is so easy…simply water. I didn’t believe it myself but it worked great.

I love this mascara! I’ve been using it for a couple months. A friend asked if I had on “false lashes” the first day I wore it. It wipes off so easy too!
