I have a secret. Several, in fact, but only a few select ones will I be sharing with you here! With these beauty secrets you’ll never be wondering how to get ready quickly again!

  1. After you shower at night, do your hair.  Yes, dry and style! Loosely tie into a top knot while you sleep.  In the morning, all you’ll need to do is a touch-up and a spritz of shine.
  2. Once you’ve groomed your brows, keep them in place all day long with this trick: add a touch of hairspray to a soft toothbrush and brush it lightly through your brows.
  3. Make a line, with liner that is! Don’t skip this makeup step! It has mega impact on the way your eye look! It widen and frames them.  If you want your eyes to look more white and awake, use a navy liner instead of black!
  4. Blast your lash curler with your blow dryer for a few seconds before curling your lashes.  The heat helps set the curl!
  5. Just a kiss of shine makes your smile a thousand times more appealing (yep, I did a study, it’s true…).  Use Maybelline Color Whisper shades for a soft, sexy shine! They are made with pure color pigment suspended in a weightless gel. There are no heavy waxes or oils! I tried Lust for Blush and love the way my lips feel (so soft and light- no heaviness at all) and the natural pink shade is perfect for every day! I am dying to try the Who Wore it Red-er next! The store I picked it up at had low stock (very popular display!) so I’ll visit another to try more colors!

Work these secrets into your routine and you’ll be surprised how much impact your morning routine makes on your looks and how little time it takes!

Visit the Maybelline Color Whisper website to participate in the “Dare to Whisper” sweepstakes. Users can select any color and share their whisper for a chance to win all 20 shades, or select the Coral Ambition shade and fill in the blank for a chance to win $5,000!

  1. Hi Tammy,

This is my first time reading your blog. I really love this post and those tips.

I have never thought about doing my hair BEFORE bed. I guess it’s because its counter intuitive to do that, but with the method that you described, it sounds like a real winner. I will have to try that.

I really love the tip about using hairspray and a soft toothbrush to keep your eyebrows in place. I would have never thought of that! Girl, you just made my day!

I will definitely be giving those tips a shot. How do you come up with ideas like this? 🙂

  2. Judith » Welcome to A Mom in Red High Heels Judith! Please come by again 🙂 I know the hair tips seems odd but I hate the morning rush, and I’m a night owl, so doing as much as I can at night is really helpful! Try it and let me know how you do with it!

  4. Some of these lippies are fine, but for an all natural, mineral gluten-free makeup, that is cruelty-free I would go with Glam Girl Naturals Cosmetics Lipgloss and Lipsticks. Their shades range from being light dabs of color, to bold expressions of beauty! I really love their lipsticks and lip glosses, they are moisturizing and look great!

  5. Teresa, thanks for sharing glam girl naturals! I’ve not tried their product. Love that they are gluten-free, cruelty-free!

  6. Trish » I really like Arbonne Crème Concealer. If I am covering a zit that is red, I like to also use a green based formula like L’Oreal Studio Secrets Secret No.2 Anti-Redness Skin Primer Liquid. Good luck!
