It seems we are all in agreement that we are not ready to let summer go. At least not the beauty and fashion of the season! Some of us are actually ready for school to start in a couple of weeks but I’m not calling out names on that one.
Since we want to hold on to the natural, bronzed look of summer, I want to share with you one product I found that gives me the look of a great summer tan. It’s called the TanTowel. Different than the lotions, creams and sprays of most self-tanners, the TanTowel is actually a large “wet wipe” towelette that you wipe yourself down with to acheive a beautiful tan! I think it’s worth owning and using year round, especially in warm climates that don’t require you to bundle up from head-to-toe!
I used the full body towel, which is the size of a small hand towel, to apply product all over my body- including my back! I found that the towel is an easy way to apply the product but if you move too quickly, you will see untouched areas as your color comes in. Take it slow and you’ll have a beautiful, streak-free tan start to appear in just 3 hours! I was very pleased with my color and even more pleased when my husband noticed and complimented me on it! (I used the fair/medium towelettes)
As with all self-tanners, it is recommended that you first exfoliate your skin, make sure your skin is completely dry before applying and do not apply lotions or creams for 3-4 hours after using the TanTowel so you don’t interrupt the tanning process. This is the one thing I didn’t like about the product. I need lotion after I shower and without it, my skin is dry and tight. Apparently TanTowel thought of that and offers a Moisture Mist to spritz on after using the TanTowel. I’ll have to give that a try with my next order!
