On my recent road trip, I had the time to dive into some great reading material. One such piece was a feature on the Ladies of Juicy Couture in the December InStyle Magazine.

I’ll admit that I’ve thought little of the Juicy Couture’s over-priced tracksuits, viewing them as an expensive fad that I can’t afford anyway! $138 for a Velour Tracksuit with the brand written in tacky gold? Not for me!  They have found many fashion-conscious “soccer moms” to make the brand sales reach about $200 million this year!  I am, however, after reading this article, charmed by the moms behind the brand and their great fun jewelry designs!

Pamela Skaist-Levy (mom of one) and Gela Nash-Taylor (mom of 2, stepmom to 1) impress me as fun-loving (hey, they have giant jars of candy in their kitchens!), full of personal style and dedicated to their family and friends. Also, they are a HUGE success in business and to top it off, have their own Barbie replicas! They sound like moms I’d love to know that would inspire and encourage!

I dug a little deeper into their website, Juicy Couture, when I got back home and found several special pieces that I’d love to own. This watch is my number one pick:

The silver band and signature charms make this watch special!  The price tag, $150, makes this watch one of the most affordable on the site.  My step-daughter wants one of their watches for Christmas as well!  I wonder which style she’ll choose?  Probably the $295 one!  I’ll find out soon!

If you are looking for a special gift that is…ah-hem…a “brand” name, check out the sale section on the site.  Some of the prices are nicely affordable and the designs are so sweet!
