Being edgy, sexy and herself is why we love Jessica Alba. She has managed to keep herself looking super hot after having little Honor Marie. Her accessories are always great, her style is youthful and fun and her hair, long and healthy.
Recently Jessica underwent a bit of a makeover. Her hair is darker and much shorter. Associate Editor at Daily Makeover, Megan McIntyre is calling Jessica Frumpy and dowdy. Her is what she says:
“Frumpy and dowdy are not two words I associate with the usually smoking hot Jessica Alba. Unfortunately those are exactly the words that came to mind when I got a look at her latest hairstyle. She seems to have traded in her status as a sex bomb for that of a frazzled soccer mom. This messy, shapeless ‘do does nothing to accentuate her gorgeous features and makes her look like she’d be more at home in a minivan rather than in a miniskirt.
If the young mother wanted to spice up her look, she should have bypassed this train wreck in favor of a soft lob like Zoe Saldana’s or a cute crop like Drew Barrymore’s. Just because she’s had a baby doesn’t mean she needs to sacrifice her style or her sex appeal. Just look at these hot mamas!

Do you agree with Megan or is she being too hard on Jessica? I’ll admit I don’t like this cut but I didn’t like a previous cut she wore either until she styled it differently. Maybe Jessica has some great style secrets that we’ll have to wait for her to reveal. If not, then I hope she pulls out her headbands and funky hats and gets creative!
Either way, I hate the idea that a “soccer mom” has such a bad reputation for looking frumpy or dowdy! I know lots of soccer moms who are gorgeous and stylish. Everyone has bad hair days, cuts or styles but it doesn’t mean they have to automatically be associated with a “mom”! I’ve no doubt that if Honor decides to play soccer some day that Jessica will be there cheering her on and looking fabulous. We’ll gladly welcome you to join our ranks of “soccer mom”, Jessica.

Jessica is so beautiful that I would think she could look good in any hairstyle…this one is almost tryyyying to drab her out! But I agree , that should NOT be associated with being a Mom. Celeb or not, I can think of many Moms who find gorgeous lower-maintenance locks allowing them more time for their kids.
My guess is, it’s for a role.

Definitely better there! Even the color looks nicer in natural light. Maybe she will be playing a stressed-out type of role soon.

I would HARDLY call Jessica Alba frumpy and dowdy – with ANY haircut.
I’d love to see a picture of the Ms. McIntyre! She’d have to be a total babe to have that comment have any meaning at all!
Jessica Alba doesn’t look “frumpy” to me. In fact, she’s contaminated with cuteness. She’d probably look good even schlepping around the house in her husband’s Pink Floyd concert t-shirt, baggy sweat pants and a truckers’ hat.
I have been having slight issues with her hair lately. But I’m sure she’ll be fab again in no time.
