How the Brazilian Blowout™ Helps Your Hair’s Color

Get a Brazilian Blowout before your next hair color session!

A couple weeks ago I went to a new local stylist, Angela from Evans & Co in Redlands, CA, for some color TLC on my hair.  We started to discuss the amazing benefits of the Brazilian Blowout™. Not only do we both love the sleek, manageable hair created by the treatment but there was an added benefit that I had not thought of.

Angela told me that taking her hair from dark brown to bright red was a challenge in getting the right shade. Her secret to successful hair color change? The Brazilian Blowout™!

Since hair color can be damaging to your hair, especially when changes are major, it’s important that your hair be in great condition. The BB solution surrounds each hair shaft with protective protein layers to smooth and flatten the cuticle, which actually improves the condition of the hair!  By getting a Brazilian Blowout™ 2 weeks prior to your next hair color session, you will be preparing your hair to better receive the color!

*Note: if you opt to receive color after your BB Treatment, you will have to wait 2 weeks.

Bonus: Brazilian Blowout™ absorbs deeper and lasts longer on chemically-treated hair!

For optimal hair color and frizz-free hair, choose the Brazilian Blowout™ as an ongoing part of your overall hair care routine!

You are so right, Tammy. The Brazilian Blowout is one of the best treatments of the past decade! The immediate benefit of having manageable hair is only the beginning. I’ve had my treatment for about 5 months now. Although I can no longer let my hair dry naturally for a straight look, it still is easier to blow dry than pre-treatment. And my hair is still in great condition-smooth, silky and shiny.

I agree Deborah, the great condition of my hair has outlasted the treatment! I think even my curl has remained a bit more relaxed! I’m scheduling my next appt. soon! :)

    3. All of the above is true, and more. Brazilian Blowout actually recommends coloring first, because its coating effect seals the pigment in for a longer-lasting color and a smoother cuticle (the outside layer). A straight-haired client of mine who gets bleach highlights, and recently had her first Brazilian Blowout, calls it “hair resurfacing,” because her frizz is gone. Her hair looks flat-ironed all the time!

I just got a Brazilian Blowout done 2 weeks ago and i love it. I have long frizzy hair . I have to blow dry it in sections to make it straight . I don’t like to use a flat iron because i color my hair every month because i have gray hair.So what happens is i blow dry my hair every morning and it is still frizzy and if there is moisture in the air my hair gets really big but since i have had the blowout done i blow dry my hair in half the time and it’s really straight no frizz at all . My hair looks really healthy and my color looks better. I love my hair . I never thought i could have such straight hair without spending so much time on it or using a flat iron which will damage it. I will be getting it done again and again

    5. I have very naturally curly hair and always wanted smooth straight shiny hair. I was on a cruise on
Celebrity and had it done on board. I have never been so happy with my hair before. It is foiled regularly and also colored and the BB has just made it a prettier shade. I have had it for three months and it is still fabulous..I am getting a foil in two weeks and will follow it up if needed with a new BB.
I live in a very moist climate (Seattle) and I can go out in the rain and snow and it does not effect it at all. WOW what a change for my life….

    6. That’s great, marcia, thanks for posting your story!

Definately have the color before the BB. I have to color my grays every six weeks. The first time I colored after the BB, it stripped my hair, I was very disappointed. But I will do the BB again, because I love not having frizzy hair.
