Messy Bun secured with Bobby Pins

Sherri Belanger of the Argyle Salon & Spa says, “When it’s hot outside the last thing a girl wants to do is wear her hair down or put heated tools to it!”

Hot weather hair secrets start with bobby pins.

Style How-To from Sherri:
“Once out of the shower put a little leave in spray, like Rene Furterer’s Okara 2-Phase leave-in protective conditioner and let your hair air dry in it’s natural texture. Section your hair into a few sections, twist your hair and stick a bobbi pin in. The messier the better!

Also try creating a great “side messy style” with bobby pins, this gives you a little bit more of a sexy style rather than just putting your hair in a standard pony tail. When your hair is down pull it to the side and let it rest on your shoulder. Then grab a few sections again, twist and put a bobby pin or two to hold. Before you know it you have a quick sexy, no fuss hairstyle!”

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of styles showing the bobby pin unless they are pretty pins.  The basic bobby pin reminds me of the days when my mom used them to hold her curlers in place and how can that be stylish?!  Thankfully, there are some pretty pins with style:
