Stephanie, I think because the actual shoe is so traditional in style (don’t the red ones remind you of Dr. Scholtz?!) that the look of the heel won’t be a fashion disaster- even looking back!

Calvin Klein has several styles of the cut-out heel on Lords & Taylor.

I’m not sure what I think about this style. It’s a bit “weird” looking and I’m wondering if it’s one of those trends where we’ll look back and think, “What Was I Thinking?!?”

That said, I do like the first pair of shoes that you featured – the Yarahs by Calvin Klein. I love that deep, rich red and the buckle is a nice touch.
