For an elegant headband stand in:

You can make your hair as straight or curly as you want it to be as long as it’s not too slippery. If your hair is long enough, you can take a small section at the nape of your neck, braid it and wrap it around as a head band. Pin it underneath the rest of your hair. If it’s on the shorter side, take two sections below the ear on either side and braid each one. Connect them at the top of your head and secure with a pin.

To add sophistication to a ponytail:
