I had a great night last night celebrating my birthday with 3 of my very hip and gorgeous friends! We had a total girl’s night of shopping, appetizers and dessert. Of course, we made a stop at Sephora! Our time was limited as we sat and talked so long (love those girl chats!) at the restaurant so we only had 30 minutes until closing.
My pregnant friend Sarah, due in 3 weeks, had a quick makeup consultation (eyes and lips only) with a fabulous Sephora
makeup artist. She gave her a fresh and pretty look with Urban Decay Grind, Shotgun, Last Call eyeshadows from the Wallpaper Shadow Kit. The colors were shades of pink and white.
I asked the artist about wearing pink for myself. I told her in the past pink shadows cause my eyes to look red (as certain shades of brown liner do to me also). She recommended using Benefit Cosmetics Lemon-aid on my eye lids to cancel any pigment color and give a fresh slate for the shadow. I may just try it as Sarah’s look was very fun and summery!
Sarah ended up purchasing Colorful Duo Eyeshadow from Sephora‘s own brand in similar pink shades but without the shimmer of the Urban Decay shadows.
On her lips, Sarah wore Sephora Brand Super Shimmer Lip Gloss in Pink-O-Lada. It is a super shiny gloss that was absolutely gorgeous. I tried some on myself and while I really liked the color and shine, I did not like the gritty feeling it had. Sarah, on the other hand, liked it as she says it keeps her from licking her lips. Whatever works…

Btw, Sarah is expecting a girl. The pink is so appropriate for her new fresh face look!
