Last week I invited you to take a peak at my brand new retail shop on OpenSky. (Congratulations to Tisa who won a $25 Gift Certificate!) OpenSky is a new retail website featuring a variety of bloggers with expertise in many fields. The cool thing about OpenSky is that the bloggers recommend products they actually use and love. You don’t have to wonder if the product is good because it wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t!
I invite you to shop for FREE on OpenSky, compliments of A Mom in Red High Heels. Of course there is a limit but I think you’ll get a good start with the $25 I am offering you! This is not a contest, everyone is welcomed to the discount code for a limited time!
Here are the details:
- $25 off coupon, using promo code: tammy2509
- Good for any OpenSky item
- No minimum purchase
- Free shipping
- Limit one per customer
- Starts: Monday, November 30, 2009
- Expires: Whenever the limited coupons run out! OpenSky is only offering a few thousand coupons to the OpenSky Shopkeepers, when they run out, so does the offer! I will give you a 24 hour notice as to when the promotion expires. Don’t delay your shopping!
Enjoy a Beauty Treat compliments of A Mom in Red High Heels and OpenSky:

Of course, I recommend you shop the beauty finds in A Mom in Red High Heels’ store. You could get the Tweezerman Slant Tip tweezers, Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss, Juice Beauty Exfoliating Cleanser or the Smashbox Cream Eyeliner without spending a dime of your own money! (all priced under $25)
If you are not in the market for beauty, then I recommend:
The Zid Zid Round Mini Poof recommended by Project Nursery- a cute little ottoman for your cute little tot!
Magnetic Spice Rack recommended by Kath Eats Real Food- a great gift for anyone who loves to work in the kitchen and stay organized!
Pretty Pantry Gifts Book recommended by The Party Dress – a beautiful hostess gift that she can really use!
Oxo Good Grips Ice Cream Spade recommended by Megan’s Munchies- If you have kids, you need one of these!
Knitty Gritty Knits (DIY), by Vickie Howell- This book is a great gift for those that Knit. Vickie gives some fresh ideas in this book and all the techniques have pictures (now that is refreshing)!
Chipping Masters Flip-n-Chip recommended by BunkerShot – know a golfer? This is a useful gift that will keep them busy for hours (husbands and kids alike!)
Felco pruner recommended by Good Enough Gardening- If you love your plants, you need a good pruner. This model is suitable for all pruning work. I wonder if it works on over grown, manly eyebrows?
There are many other areas of interest. Take the time to do a little browsing before deciding on your purchase! Remember, it’s a FREE $25 to spend any way you like. There is no shipping charge. ENJOY!
Please leave me any thoughts you have about OpenSky and what is offered. I welcome your feedback as does The OpenSky Project! We want to make it a great shopping experience for you! Also, let me know what you spend your $25 on- I can’t wait to hear!
UPDATE: OpenSky traffic staggering. We blew through all our $25 coupons in less than 6 hours. More promotions coming later today… So sorry if you missed this round, it went faster than expected.

I love your site, but when I clicked on the shopping links,… I received the message, “Not Found.” I was trying to click on the Pretty Pantry Gifts and the Knitting Link. I tried the others and couldn’t get connected. However, I can still get to them by other means. Patience is my best friend because Murphy’s law is a close acquaintance of mine. Thanks for the info.
Gayle, they had a HUGE overload of shoppers and basically killed the servers! ha! I’m sorry you had problems with the site, it was quite overwhelmed. I hope you enjoy OpenSky once you are able to see it!
Did anyone else try to shop OpenSky? Just curious if anyone was successful in using the free $25 offer today? I know the coupon went viral and was picked up quickly by a variety of sites, therefore the allocated few thousand coupons were used up quickly. I’m sorry it didn’t last at least the day so you could take advantage of the code. It’s a learning process for OpenSky and all the Shopkeepers! Stay tuned for more discounts coming in December.
Tammy,
I just tried and got the same message that Gayle received. I was so excited – what a great offer!
Kimberly- thanks for letting me know. OpenSky actually ran out of coupons withing 6 hours of the offer going up. It was a bit overwhelming as apparently, some coupon-type spam sites got ahold of the coupon codes (each shopkeeper had a different one) and blew through the allotted number of discounts being offered. They do promise to run some other types of discounts in the month of December that I will post as they become available. Stay tuned….
