Brief Description of Your Business: A universal, timeless jewelry collection

What was your inspiration to start your business? Both my parents were entrepreneurs and artistic (Father-residential architect; Mother-interior designer)

When do you make time to run a business with your busy MOM schedule? Late nights and weekends when I have my husband’s help. The kids are in preschool/daycare 3 days a week, so that helps too. I also teach indoor cycling (Spin) 5 mornings week.

Any tips for balancing a business and motherhood? The key to balancing is time management! I am always on a schedule, if not written down, at least in my mind, from the moment I wake up. I know what needs to be accomplished by the end of every day.

Tell us about the outfit that makes you feel confident and beautiful. I feel confident in colors…shades that are noticeable but not distracting. Comfy jeans and a flattering, colorful shirt, with just a hint of makeup (mascara), shows I take at least a minute to care about myself. The kids are first, but I’m still here!

What is your favorite online site to shop for beauty or fashion? Don’t have one. I guess I don’t do a lot of on-line shopping except the occasional flash sale site or Amazon.

What motivates you to look your best? I never know who I’m going to run into or when someone is going to come to my door. I don’t like being caught off guard and not knowing the state my hair or makeup is in.

As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips? I use time when the kids are occupied with themselves to get myself together. Fortunately, they can keep each other company while they eat breakfast so I can step away to blow dry my hair or put on some moisturizer.

Name one beauty product you can’t live without: cover-up

Heels or flats? Describe your favorite pair. My red, patent-leather heels by Tahari and my Reebok Rockers!

Lip gloss or Lip Stick? Do you have a favorite brand/color? Neither, actually. Chapstick with a hint of mineral makeup (use it for my eyes and cheeks too) for color.

Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share:
If every woman would wear what represents her own beauty, instead of what is popular, we’d stop wasting energy scorning people for their “taste” and applauding them for their confidence! I say wear and do what feels good!

Emily and Blessed Charm remind us to embrace all that we are with the Embrace Yourself necklace.

Be sure to check out more of Emily’s designs on I’ll be reviewing the Charm Links Bracelet very soon but if you love it, get it now while it’s on sale! It’s really cute, has a lot of great colors to choose from, as well as a handful of charm options!

Also worth noting, Emily donates 5% of all proceeds to, an organization that helps transform the lives of high-risk and at-risk youth through creative arts mentoring, education, resources, and opportunities.
