Brief Description of Your Business:
Business Coach | Certified New Money Story® Mentor
Helping Entrepreneurs Design Their Life and Master Their Business Story!
What was your inspiration to start your business?
I have been an entrepreneur most of my life. In fact my parents were entrepreneurs also. I had been absorbed full time in our family business of importing, manufacturing and distribution of home decor products, which I co-founded with my husband over 33 years ago, while simultaneously raising three children, who have become outstanding, independent and successful adults. Added to my life is the title of Grandmother, which has brought much joy and happiness.
I have been coaching all my adult years working with several groups and individuals in the area of personal, professional and business development including financial matters. I have made a full commitment to help people in this specific area with my guidance and support to assist them in achieving their desired results. Being a certified Financial Mentor Coach is an ultimate goal of achievement that I will enjoy for many years, paying forward my knowledge, experience and expertise.
When do you make time to run a business with your busy MOM schedule?
I started my business when my daughter was 3 yrs old and I was expecting my second child, and continued through having my 3rd child. I simultaneously raised my children while being absorbed in the business full-time. I set-up an office in my home (which allowed me to work while the children were either in school, or napping). Scheduling is extremely important. I worked with the schedule very closely. Leaving things ‘undone’ was not an option.
The children knew that “Mommie had work to do, and when it was “play time”, we had a blast.
Any tips for balancing a business and motherhood?
It’s the same as balancing a career and motherhood. Block your time with your children and make the best of that time. Focus on fun, learning, excitement. Children love structure and routine. When everything is laid out for them and they understand there is time for ‘chores’, school work, clean-up time and fun … they participate with great enthusiasm.
TIP: Get the children involved in your chores and make it a game. They’ll love it and learn from the responsibility.

What motivates you to look your best?
Me! I want to like what I see in the mirror.
As a mom, “Me Time” is limited… what are your time saving beauty tips?
I would always let my children watch me apply makeup. This allowed them to be close by and see what adults do in addition to playtime.
I would also take my time in the evening once they are in bed to do the extra at home ‘spa’ treatments.
Name one beauty product you can’t live without:
Arbonne skin care

high heeled sandals with jewels and bling
Lip gloss or Lip Stick? Do you have a favorite brand/color?
both – Estee Lauder and Arbonne
Several colors – depending on clothes and mood
Confession Time! What is your biggest fashion and/or beauty concern at the moment?
I honestly don’t have a big concern, I buy classics and some trends. I avoid fads.

Any additional comments on beauty and style you’d like to share:
I know that raising children while having a business and taking care of your beauty is a full plate, your attitude is the most important.
It’s so nice to reminisce with my adult children about how organized and fun and sometimes crazy our lives were with raising them and being in business and all the extra curriculum they were involved in. My daughter was involved in dance competitively. All three children had piano lessons and my youngest son was involved in sports. We had a very busy schedule. We enjoyed our day-to-day routine, travel and a great life. The children were disciplined. The boys were often mischievous, constantly having me wonder and worry what they would do next. This was a good thing as I knew they were working their brain creatively.
The best compliment a mom could receive is having her children say “thank you for raising us so well” and “we had a great childhood”.
