    drink plenty of water and get a good nights sleep the night before—then before you put your makeup on put your face in a bowel of ice water and hold it in as long as you can stand it. Then pat dry–your skin will look amazing.

    I will thread unwanted facial hairs the night before to avoid red, irritated skin on the big day so that makeup application goes on smoothly.

    when applying lipstick (esp red!) always make sure to stick your finger in your mouth and pull. this will prevent you from getting lipstick on your teeth!

    NOTHING ruins a red carpet moment more than lipstick-teeth… except maybe spinach in your teeth. probably a good idea to check the mirror before taking that walk. ;)

    my tip is to separate lashes after mascara, it also gets extra mascara off and none gets on your face.

    My beauty tip for getting ready for a big night out is to use primer before putting on makeup. It makes your makeup last for hours, and keeps the shine/oilies away.

    Use a face primer and an eyelid primer. It will keep your foundation and eye shadow on all day. Always make sure to define your brows. That will frame your face and make your eyes really stand out. Lastly use a highlight in the corner of your eyes by the bridge of your nose. It really lightens up your face.

    Whenever I get ready for a big night out I always make sure to use a mattifying primer before I apply the rest of my makeup. It really helps the shine at bay!

    I use an exfoliant mask early the day of any event. This leaves my skin very smooth and moisturizer and foundation go on without any problems and looks so much better.

    For a special and long evening out, I use a very thin layer of Milk of Magnesia under my primer to make absolutely certain that my face won’t become a greaseball before the night is over. Of course, I have very oily skin…..
