In the November issue of People Style Watch magazine (with Hayden Panettiere on the cover) is a feauture called “Best Drugstore Beauty Buys” (pg 38). It covers well-priced secret weapons pros rely on. I love to go shopping for drugstore products. Leave me in the cosmetics/skin care area of a Walgreens or Target and I could be there for an hour!
Here is my version of Mom-friendly products available at your local drugstore.
Dove Moisture Color Rich Shampoo and Conditioner- leaves my hair tangle-free, static-free and soft. I use it on my kids as well. It works better than expensive salon products on my hair!
Neutrogena® Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub- I love to feel products at work.
Exfoliating my face with this wash helps remove makeup and dead skin cells. It is gentle enough to use daily.
Suave Cocoa Butter with Shea Moisturizer- this rich formula really helps my dry skin. I apply it daily and as needed.
Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer- I use this in the summer but I’m ready to pull it out again as my skin is becoming really pale again and it’s not quite time to wear pants full time in sunny So Cal.
Great Lash Mascara- If you’re not turned on to this one yet, I’m shocked! It’s cliche but it’s the best mascara! Plus, the container is super easy to find in your makeup bag!
Clear Cosmetic Bag- Makes it so much easier to find what you are looking for in your
makeup bag! Just think, you can shave seconds off your morning routine because you won’t have to dig for your eyeshadow! A few seconds sounds minimal but when you are racing the clock to get your child to school on time, you’ll be grateful for the time you’ll save!
Schick Quattro For Women Razor- Best razor I have ever used! I received a free sample in the mail and have not used anything else since!
L’Oreal Infallible Foundation with SPF 18- Light weight, great coverage, SPF and available in many shades!
Goody Hair Accessories- Not the Goody I remember from childhood! They now offer fabulous headbands, barrettes, clips and ponytail holders with stylish, grown-up looks! They still offer pretty little accessories for your daughter’s hair too!
I’d love to hear your favorite drugstore finds! Share with the other moms what works for you by leaving a comment below.

Thanks for the great list! I like Cover Girl’s Smoothers SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer.
I can’t live without Lubriderm.
ok, I love the Goody Hair Accessories. They sent me a huge “gift” bag for entering a contest. The bands are sticky so they really hold your hair TIGHT!! They even work great with a helmet on as well.
