Don’t Pack Up The Summer Makeup Just Yet

Regardless of all the Back-to-School talk and Fall Collection previews, it is still summertime. You still have time to be a bronzed goddess, sport bright toe nails and enjoy your sunny summer makeup!

If you picked up the latest issue of Allure magazine, you’ll see that Amy Adams is wearing eye makeup in pinks and purples! She is not ready to give up the fresh fun colors of the season!  The eyeshadow used in the photo shoot is Maybelline New York ExpertWear Eye Shadows in Amethyst and Seashell.

Another brand that knows how to keep the color party going this summer is Motives! Loren Ridinger, the mom behind Motives, shares her thoughts on Summer Makeup:

“Ladies, it’s time to put away the black eyeliner and roll out the color for summer! Whether it’s for day or night, bright pigments are a huge trend this season, especially pinks. Keep your look day-friendly by accenting either the eyes or the lips, not both! My favorite look for daytime consists of bright magenta lips paired with clear skin, lightly defined eyes and a touch of mauve blush. It just has an utterly romantic, yet modern and fresh quality to it.
Get the Look:

• Blend a little concealer under your eyes, around your nose and anywhere else you need it: When you wear any bold lip color, it’s important that your skin look glowing and even.

• Dab on magenta lipstick and blot it with a tissue (Motives® Rich formula lipstick in Magenta is the shade that makes it all happen for me!) Repeat till you reach the desired depth of color.

• Top with clear or pink balm or gloss to soften the effect.
