Thanks for this 'confession', I'd like to give mine as well: For me, the ideal height of a heel is somewhere between 4 and 5,5 inches, this is still o.k. for me since I am a man walking through my life on feet of the size US 13 - so heels around 5 inches give me the perfect angle; still good to walk in but already jaw-dropping-sexy to look at!
But well, as you may very well imagine, it's pretty hard for a "girl" like me to find some shoes that do not just have a high heel, but also look elegant and feminine - instead I'm being offered tons of plastic platform shoes of all styles and colours...!
What do the producers of these shoes think of, when they plan on making them ? Do they think folks with shoesizes like mine would want to dust off the ceiling of their homes with their hairdo everytime they move around ???
Or do they even think, we had grown only vertically ??? What's the use of a 3inch platform-sole on a shoe that comes in large sizes ? It feels ridiculous If you have to nodd everytime you walk through a doorframe...:-\
I demand single-sole highheels with class and elegance for tall people - now !!!

Before I started wearing womens shoes myself, I would have never thought of shoe-buying as such a nerve-wrenching event...;-)

Greeting to everyone sharing this special passion,

Haha! Glad you enjoyed my "painful" experience :) I just couldn't believe how heavy the shoes were and the angle in which my foot was expected to walk. Lesson learned...

Gwyneth Paltrow I am not. While I've heard that for public appearances, she puts the shoes on right before she walks out. She looks far more graceful than I felt!

There are actual classes you can take to learn to walk in high heels...maybe I should invest in one. I'd love to wear a pair of killer high heels once in a while and feel confident doing it! :)
