Dianna Agron had one of the most dramatic looks of the night at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards! I love her stunning red lip and WOW!… that dress! Here’s the breakdown of the look created by makeup artist, Monika Blunder for L’Oreal.

Inspiration: For Dianna’s makeup, Monika was inspired by the spring 2012 fashion shows where the makeup was fresh but still very glamorous. Since Dianna’s red Giles dress was so “va va voom,” Monika focused on the lips to be the stand out feature.

Step by Step How-To:

Monika kept Julianna’s skin simple and fresh with a bit of L’Oréal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Makeup in Light Ivory to give skin a light glow

Since the focus was kept on her lips, only a small amount of L’Oréal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Blush in Celestial (Pink) was applied to the apples of cheeks

The bold red lip stole the show; Monika applied L’Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Bold Bordeaux for lasting shine and pigment

The eyes were highlighted with a hint of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte with Vaseline applied over it to create added shine

The L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Black was lightly applied around the rim of the eye and Monika applied several coats of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara in Black to complete the look.

4 Steps To Younger Looking Skin

I’m not going to lie… looking at my reflection is getting hard to face. Aging is my biggest skin care concern! I see the wrinkles from way too much sun as a youth. I see the discoloration of way too much sun as a youth. Makes me wish I could take back the attempts at golden tans (which I never really achieved), eat better, exercise more and sleep more. Fortunately, I can do some age reversing and it’s time to to get started! It’s never too late to do something positive for yourself! Are you with me?

The first thing we all have to remember is that when undoing a lifetime of damage, we need to take it one day at a time, a few minutes each day. Diligence is essential.

Red Carpet Beauty Tips Using Baby Products!

Anyone else excited for the award show season? The best part is catching the looks on the red carpet! I’m all about the glamour, getting made-up and wearing fabulous dresses! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have my hair and makeup done and try on beautiful clothes so for me, I’d love my life to have many red carpet events!

Reality check…it’s not happening yet. But, who’s to say you and I can’t utilize the tips and tricks that celebrities use for the red carpet to have our own little glamourfest at home? Who needs a special occasion? Everyday should be special! I chatted with Johnson‘s spokesperson and makeup artist, Tia Dantzler, on the phone and she gave me some fantastic tips for keeping your look fresh and lasting each and every day! A few even use your baby’s favorite products!

Well groomed brows shape your face. Get your brows shaped by a professional and keep them looking great with maintenance!
When you wake up in the morning, rub an ice cube over your eyelids to reduce swelling. A cucumber slice or eye cream with caffeine will work too!
Right when you step out of the shower, apply Johnson’s Baby Creamy Oil to your skin for a gorgeous red carpet sheen!

And, my favorite…

Apply Johnson’s Baby Powder with a mascara wand (you can pick up packs of disposable ones at Sally Beauty or on Amazon) to your lashes before you apply mascara! The powder gives the mascara something to adhere to and you get faux-like lashes every day! I tried this tip:

It’s never too late to take charge of your skin. As you reflect on last year and look forward to this one, commit to putting the health of your skin first. Eye makeup has an expiration date, from time of opening, of 2 years for powders and 12-18 months for cream shadows. It’s time to toss out the ones you wore for your high school graduation! Yes, I know it’s the perfect shade of brown but you’ll find new shades to fit your needs, I promise! Here are 3 palettes that I recommend:

Wild & Chic Aqua Cream Premium from Make Up For Ever: The key to the cream shadow is to blend it on quickly! Once it sets, it stays in place. The lasting power of this shadow is phenomenal! I love how it makes my eyes pop in pictures!

Urban Decay Naked2 Palette:

Naked2 by Urban Decay: A cult favorite! This palette is hard to come by because it has all the best neutrals! Perfect for every day looks or layer it on for a night out!

At a salon party, hosted by Evans & Company Salon in my hometown, I was so fortunate to be a model and get my makeup done (including lashes! I love lashes!). They used a variety of bareMinerals cosmetics on me for a fabulous evening look. The party theme was “Jerseylicious” and I love the final results! While I’m personally not a fan of loose shadow powders, I am in love with the new firm-packed shadows! From the Prime Time Primer Shadow to the High Shine Eyecolor, bareMinerals has fabulous eye makeup with lots of saturated color (requires less layering to get a great pop of color!)

My look:
