In the world of home fragrance, reed diffusers are the hottest new thing. Why? Because they are not hot at all (perfect for homes with young kids!). Candles are great for ambiance but not so great when safety is concerned. Reed diffusers do not require any flame or energy source to deliver beautiful fragrances to any part of your home. Additionally, reed diffusers release fragrance into the air for a 30-60 day period while a candle will only burn for 24 – 90 hours. Finally, in the right vessel, a reed diffuser will actually complement your home decor, rather than detract from it. That’s why I think reed diffusers are a segment of home fragrance that will continue to grow even though the economy is soft.

I hadn’t heard of Casa Di Francesca until a few days ago, but I am very impressed with the fragrance I was able to try (Honeysuckle & Night Blooming Jasmine). It smells very similar to the Jo Malone fragrance of the same name and it has my home smelling fabulously floral. At $24.50, the diffuser is totally worth the spend and it won’t break your bank, either. The founder of the company, Katie Borghese, is active in charity work so a portion of all sales go out to charity so you can feel good about smelling good and adorning your home with a little bit of luxury.

I love the vases that unfortunately are not so affordable. The fragrance part, however, I could do. I might just give them a try.
i recently got a Woodwick diffuser from our local Hallmark store for $6.00 and I absolutely love it! It’s a pumpkin spice scent, so perfect for this fall weather that is fast approaching. It’s not an overpowering smell but it’s soft and lovely, and definitely ‘homey.’
Love it!
