Buying the Right Winter Boots
By Tammy | December 1, 2008
Use this checklist to help you find the right boots for your feet this winter.
- Pick a dark, neutral color such as brown. It’s more versatile.
- A stacked wedge provides some support so you can maintain your balance in uneven terrain. Rubber soles prevent slips and skids.
- Tall boots that fold down are like two pairs in one. Wear them high when you need warmth, folded over once you get to the office (or with another outfit).
- Choose waterproof suede; it’s as durable as it is chic. Treat all boots with a protective spray before braving the elements.
- Look for a shearling of faux-fur lining. Both keep feet comfy and warm and add a trendy touch.

Hi, I just bought a pair of boots from Vegetarian Shoes and Boots and they look similiar to the Ugg boots but are 1/3 of the cost!
