    Burlington Coat Factory $100 Challenge

    By Tammy | December 13, 2008

Burlington Coat Factory has great prices and a HUGE variety of gifts to buy this holiday season!  Six moms were put to the challenge: Can you get holiday gifts for your entire family at $100 or less?

We took the challenge this past week and I’ll be posting the results in this coming week. Personally, I was amazed at how much $100 bought! In this economy, spending efficiently is on everyone’s mind. Burlington Coat Factory is truly a place to get a bargain and there is something for everyone!

I think it’s important for you to “meet” the moms that took this challenge. They have their own set of struggles in life,  just like you. If they can meet the challenge, you can too!

Mom #1: Mom of 3, ages 2-11. Husband working at a temporary job, traveling very long distances until a local job becomes available.

Mom #2: Single mom of 2, ages 2 and 11

Mom #3: Mom of 3, ages 5 months-9 years. Oldest recently went through major surgery. At the same time, she had her third child. Her husband has been off of work to help care for the kids.

Mom #4: Mom of 3, ages 4-7. Husband is out of work, trying to run a business from home to bring in some income while they both look for work.

Mom #5: Mom of 7 (blended family), ages 19 months-18 years.

Mom #6: Mom of 2, stepmom to 1, ages 4, 7 and 22. One in college, 2 in private school.  Blessed beyond words (that’s me!)

Just to give you an example, here is a sample of the challenge outcome:

    My Husband the Tie Collector
    – Alexander Julian dress shirt and matching hand made woven tie: ($19.99; compare elsewhere for $45)
My Pretty in Pink Princess– Disney Princess pink plume t-shirt and fashion bag set ($7.99 and $12.99; compare elsewhere for $18 and $14.99)

The A+ Teacher – Raspberry cream spa gift set ($6.99; compare elsewhere for $12)
