Sometimes moms are too busy to even do the basics. Forget to eat breakfast? Yep. Forget to apply your lotion after your shower. Done that. Neglect your brows until one day you catch the overgrown mess in your rear-view mirror? Oh yeah, been there. How about noticing that you never applied mascara just before you are ready to start dinner. I’ve done that too! A whole day made up except that one MAJOR detail!! The point is, sometimes it happens so I think it’s important to have an emergency kit with you wherever you go. Pack it in your purse, your baby’s diaper bag or in an insulated bag in your car.
The tools you need to have along for your Beauty Emergency Kit are:

- Lotion: Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter offers cream hydration with a vibrant smell to wake your senses up.
- Energy Bar: Quick, easy to eat without a mess and instant energy when you are running low! Atkins Advantage bars have saved my mood more than once!
- Mascara: If you don’t have time to put on makeup in the morning or simply forget the mascara, it’s good to have an extra with you in your beauty emergency kit. Mascara that lengths lashes is enough to give you a natural but pretty boost to your look. Nothing lengthens like Clarins Wonder Lengths Mascara!
- Lip Gloss: Something light and natural but with a bit of shimmer will work with any outfit you have on. It will brighten your smile and moisturize your lips. Use one with a plumping effect for further fabulous-ness! Try Stila Lip Enhancing Gloss in Illume
- Tweezers: I’ve plucked the strays more than once while waiting to pick up my kiddos at school. Make use of the natural light in your car while you sit in the parking lot waiting. I love a slanted tip best. Bonus- they work well for removing splinters from fingers when little people get stuck on playgrounds or benches. I would be lost without my Tweezerman Slant Tweezers!
- Multi-tasking Face Powder: give yourself a fresh glow on the days you are running ragged. The traffic is endless, errands take longer than expected and you run out of time to run home to freshen up. It happens. Keeping a powder like Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights in your beauty emergency kit will save you from looking tired and washed out.
- SwabPlus Liquid Snapz Eye Makeup Remover: individual swabs filled with single dose eye makeup remover. Great for clean-ups on the go.
- An insulated makeup bag like IcyBag ensures your makeup doesn’t melt if you leave it in the car. This is a multi-tasking bag because it is also great for packing small snacks for the beach, park or strolls.
